Be Passionate:
Ask yourself “Am I passionate about my message?” The single most important rule of a great presentation is to speak about what you love and know well. Let that enthusiasm show. People are drawn to passion. Start Strong The first 2-3 minutes are the most important to capture student’s attention. Keep it Short If you talk for ten minutes, people will only pay attention for seven. The younger the students, the shorter that time period is. Break up your presentation by asking questions and engaging your audience. Connect with students: Ask questions and tell stories that relate to their lives. Make eye contact: Look for the students who are paying attention and make eye contact as you talk. Show emotion: If you are emotional about a certain topic, don’t be afraid to show it. Emotion allows you to connect with students and helps them understand your perspective. |
